• 'Neptune'

The furthest planet from the sun and the 4th largest in our solar system. A year on Neptue is equivalent to 165 Earth years. Acrylic on canvas, 100 x 100cms

  • 'Mars'

The 4th planet away from the sun. It is just over half as big as Earth. It has two moons. NASA have a vehicle trawling around the surface at the moment. Acrylic on canvas, 100 x 100cms

  • 'Jupiter'

This planet is made of gas, not rocky like Earth, Mars Venus and Mercury. It is the largest planet by far. The large red spot (storm that has been raging for millions of years) is about the size of Earth. Acrylic on canvas, 120 x 120cms.

  • 'Mercury'

The planet is only a bit bigger than our moon. A year on Mercury is equivalent ot 88 Earth days as it is spinning much faster. It is covered in craters from asteroid hits with no atmosphere to protect it. Acrylic on canvas, 100 x 100cms

  • 'Uranus'

The planet is 7th from the sun. It is also a gas giant. The planet consists mostly of ice, ammonia and methane. A year on Uranus is equivalent to 84 Earth years. It's axis is so tilted that it appears to spin sideways to the sun. Acrylic on canvas, 100 x 100cms

  • 'Earth'

The surface of Earth spins at approximately 1,000 mph at the equator. The planet is travelling around the sun at 67,000mph. Crikey! Acrylic on canvas, 100 x 100cms

  • 'Saturn'

The planet is the 2nd largest in the solar system. It is another gas giant. It has beautiful ice and rock rings that are gravitationally held around the planet giving it its distinctive look. Acrylic on canvas, 120 x 120cms

  • 'Venus'

This planet has the worst greenhouse effect conditions. It looks beautiful but it is toxic, hotter than Mercury even though it is further away. Venus is one of the two planets that spins in the opposite direction to the rest. It and Uranus spin clockwise. Acrylic on canvas, 100 x 100cms
